Most of the young Ukrainians nowadays are highly educated and have corresponding expectations for their future. Growing up in a country that is marked by corruption and political instability, an ever-widening trust gap between the youth and their political leaders pushes young Ukrainians to either migrate abroad or fall prey to political apathy. Brain drain and inner migration rob Ukraine of its most vibrant force for social and political transformation: The voice of the youth.

The project focused on youth and Ukrainian civil society organizations from rural Western Ukraine. Youth participating in the project activities learned relevant digital advocacy skills that helped them voice their concerns. Furthermore, they interact with the civil society organizations of their respective towns and villages, entering into sustainable relationships based on mutual trust. Civil society organizations from rural Western Ukraine will be empowered to make use of the window that opened with the recently launched digital transformation reforms.
